Martyn's Monthly Update

Hello Everyone

What a busy time it's been helping you with all your enquiries. Keep them coming as Karen, Jennie and I love to explore the world with you.

This month we have some amazing cruises featured in the newsletter. The adventure cruising market has really grown and the Hurtigruten HX brochure we have includes some amazing once in a lifetime trips. Their strap line 'Change the way you see the world' says it all.

We have also been promoting Scenic Antarctica and their  South America cruises.  Abercrombie & Kent have a Luxury Expedition Cruise brochure too. We have booked some lovely clients on a Cunard cruise starting from Chile and working its way up through the Panama Canal stopping in Fort Lauderdale.

It was very sad to read about the power issues in Cuba, where we have clients travelling soon.  Through our supplier, Simply Cuba, they were encouraged to join a WhatsApp group started by the Sales & Marketing Director at Simply Cuba who was actually in Cuba over the last weekend. He was able to help with their enquiries and concerns and qualify what was going on, which of course was not quite as bad as it sounded in the media. It's pretty bad if you are living in Cuba with no generator however nearly all the hotels we use have generators and power is gradually being restored.

This is a strong reason to book with an agent that you can talk to rather than having to discuss the issue with a virtual assistant online. Yes, we are generally more expensive than booking online but no amount of saving is worth the aggravation if it all goes wrong.

I promised the editor I wouldn't moan in this newsletter. I am not. I am simply imparting my advice. I don't know every corner of the world however I have been in the business 52 years so have a pretty good grasp of this stuff so am able to help

It’s now a good time to plan those trips for 2025 before we all become wrapped up (pun intended) in Christmas.

Have a good month and enjoy the half term break.
